The Question

John 11

24.  Martha saith unto him, I know that he shall rise again in the resurrection at the last day.

 25.  Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live:

 26.  And whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall never die. Believest thou this?

The Debate

23.  The same day came to him the Sadducees, which say that there is no resurrection, and asked him,

 24.  Saying, Master, Moses said, If a man die, having no children, his brother shall marry his wife, and raise up seed unto his brother.

 25.  Now there were with us seven brethren: and the first, when he had married a wife, deceased, and, having no issue, left his wife unto his brother:

 26.  Likewise the second also, and the third, unto the seventh.

 27.  And last of all the woman died also.

 28.  Therefore in the resurrection whose wife shall she be of the seven? for they all had her.

 29.  Jesus answered and said unto them, Ye do err, not knowing the scriptures, nor the power of God.

 30.  For in the resurrection they neither marry, nor are given in marriage, but are as the angels of God in heaven.

 31.  But as touching the resurrection of the dead, have ye not read that which was spoken unto you by God, saying,

 32.  I am the God of Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob? God is not the God of the dead, but of the living.

 33.  And when the multitude heard this, they were astonished at his doctrine.

Historical Proof

Matthew 27

50.  Jesus, when he had cried again with a loud voice, yielded up the ghost.

 51.  And, behold, the veil of the temple was rent in twain from the top to the bottom; and the earth did quake, and the rocks rent;

 52.  And the graves were opened; and many bodies of the saints which slept arose,

 53.  And came out of the graves after his resurrection, and went into the holy city, and appeared unto many.

 54.  Now when the centurion, and they that were with him, watching Jesus, saw the earthquake, and those things that were done, they feared greatly, saying,

Truly this was the Son of God.

Acts 4

 1.  And as they spake unto the people, the priests and the captain of the temple and the Sadducees came upon them,

 2.  being sore troubled because they taught the people, and proclaimed in Jesus the resurrection from the dead.

 3.  And they laid hands on them, and put them in ward unto the morrow: for it was now eventide.

 4.  But many of them that heard the word believed; and the number of the men came to be about five thousand.

 5.  And it came to pass on the morrow, that their rulers and elders and scribes were gathered together in Jerusalem;

 6.  and Annas the high priest was there, and Caiaphas, and John, and Alexander, and as many as were of the kindred of the high priest.

 7.  And when they had set them in the midst, they inquired, By what power, or in what name, have ye done this?

 8.  Then Peter, filled with the Holy Spirit, said unto them, Ye rulers of the people, and elders,

 9.  if we this day are examined concerning a good deed done to an impotent man, by what means this man is made whole;

 10.  be it known unto you all, and to all the people of Israel, that in the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom ye crucified, whom God raised from the dead, even in him doth this man stand here before you whole.

 11.  He is the stone which was set at nought of you the builders, which was made the head of the corner.

 12.  And in none other is there salvation: for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, wherein we must be saved.

 13.  Now when they beheld the boldness of Peter and John, and had perceived that they were unlearned and ignorant men, they marvelled; and they took knowledge of them, that they had been with Jesus.

 14.  And seeing the man that was healed standing with them, they could say nothing against it.

 15.  But when they had commanded them to go aside out of the council, they conferred among themselves,

 16.  saying, What shall we do to these men? for that indeed a notable miracle hath been wrought through them, is manifest to all that dwell in Jerusalem; and we cannot deny it.

 17.  But that it spread no further among the people, let us threaten them, that they speak henceforth to no man in this name.

 18.  And they called them, and charged them not to speak at all nor teach in the name of Jesus.

Counted Worthy

Luke 20

34.  And Jesus answering said unto them, The children of this world marry, and are given in marriage:

 35.  But they which shall be accounted worthy to obtain that world, and the resurrection from the dead, neither marry, nor are given in marriage:

 36.  Neither can they die any more: for they are equal unto the angels; and are the children of God, being the children of the resurrection.

35.  But they which shall be accounted worthy to obtain that world and the resurrection from the dead, neither marry, nor are given in marriage:

 36.  Neither can they die any more: for they are equal unto the angels; and are the children of God, being the children of the resurrection.

Given Us Power

19.  Behold, I have given you authority to tread upon serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall in any wise hurt you.

 20.  Nevertheless in this rejoice not, that the spirits are subject unto you; but rejoice that your names are written in heaven.

 21.  In that same hour he rejoiced in the Holy Spirit, and said, I thank thee, O Father, Lord of heaven and earth, that thou didst hide these things from the wise and understanding, and did reveal them unto babes: yea, Father; for so it was well-pleasing in thy sight.

 22.  All things have been delivered unto me of my Father: and no one knoweth who the Son is, save the Father; and who the Father is, save the Son, and he to whomever the Son willeth to reveal him.

 23.  And turning to the disciples, he said privately, Blessed are the eyes which see the things that ye see:

 24.  for I say unto you, that many prophets and kings desired to see the things which ye see, and saw them not; and to hear the things which ye hear, and heard them not.

 25.  And behold, a certain lawyer stood up and made trial of him, saying, Teacher, what shall I do to inherit eternal life?

 26.  And he said unto him, What is written in the law? how readest thou?

 27.  And he answering said, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy strength, and with all thy mind; and thy neighbor as thyself.

 28.  And he said unto him, Thou hast answered right: this do, and thou shalt live.

 29.  But he, desiring to justify himself, said unto Jesus, And who is my neighbor?

All Authority

Matthew 28

16.  But the eleven disciples went into Galilee, unto the mountain where Jesus had appointed them.

 17.  And when they saw him, they worshipped him; but some doubted.

 18.  And Jesus came to them and spake unto them, saying, All authority hath been given unto me in heaven and on earth.

 19.  Go ye therefore, and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them into the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit:

 20.  teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I commanded you: and lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world.

If any person tells you they totally understand the Spiritual, Metaphysical, Scientific, Mathematical, or any other means it is best you pay attention.  Your Life does depend upon it.  The bible teaches;  And he called unto him the multitude with his disciples, and said unto them, If any man would come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me.  For whosoever would save his life shall lose it; and whosoever shall lose his life for my sake and the gospel's shall save it.  Mark 8: 34-35

You be sure to listen to them and learn what you must do to enter into Gods resurrection.

I am not one of those that know much about the resurrection, but I have staked my life and reputation on it.  If there is no resurrection of life I am a liar and a false witness and one that have no hope.

There is only one thing I know about the resurrection of life and that is it takes Power to defeat death. .  Not man made Power or manufactured Power , but Divine Power.

What kind of Power is that which can break the shackles of death and eternal sleep?  What kind of Power is needed to break the powerful grip of a hopeless dead estate?

I tell you today it is a Quickening Power

A Wonder Working Power, Everlasting Power, All Power

I stop by today to tell you of one that is faster than a speeding bullet is higher that the tallest building has gone where no man has ever gone before and has come back from it to tell us abut it.

Jesus has that Authority and all Power .  He has triumph over the enemy and snatched the Keys from his hands to unlock hell and has shut the devil up in it forever.

He won that on Calvary and seals it on this side of the grave.

There is a place that has been known my many names to all generations but very hard to define.  When talking about death we have little references therefore we call it the Sunset,

The Indians said it to be The Great Hunting Ground; some simply call it The Wild Blue Yonder and others The Land of No return.  In many ways we are taught to be frightened by death because we see it in so many horrible and tragetic forms.  Therefore the natural mindset is when you are dead you are done.

Jesus chose to go into death and taste it for you and me.  He made the claim that no man took His life but that He had power to lay it down and power to pick it up again.  He was obedient to His Father that sent Him into the world (John 3:16) even unto death from the foundation of the world.  So the far gone conclusion is There Is Life After Death.

We are known today as Godís Creation, but tomorrow Gods Resurrected.

Old Eye Witness

Jsaiah 53

 1.  Who hath believed our message? and to whom hath the arm of Jehovah been revealed?

 2.  For he grew up before him as a tender plant, and as a root out of a dry ground: he hath no form nor comeliness; and when we see him, there is no beauty that we should desire him.

 3.  He was despised, and rejected of men; a man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief: and as one from whom men hide their face he was despised; and we esteemed him not.

 4.  Surely he hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows; yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted.

 5.  But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities; the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.

 6.  All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way; and Jehovah hath laid on him the iniquity of us all.

 7.  He was oppressed, yet when he was afflicted he opened not his mouth; as a lamb that is led to the slaughter, and as a sheep that before its shearers is dumb, so he opened not his mouth.

 8.  By oppression and judgment he was taken away; and as for his generation, who among them considered that he was cut off out of the land of the living for the transgression of my people to whom the stroke was due?

 9.  And they made his grave with the wicked, and with a rich man in his death; although he had done no violence, neither was any deceit in his mouth.

 10.  Yet it pleased Jehovah to bruise him; he hath put him to grief: when thou shalt make his soul an offering for sin, he shall see his seed, he shall prolong his days, and the pleasure of Jehovah shall prosper in his hand.

 11.  He shall see of the travail of his soul, and shall be satisfied: by the knowledge of himself shall my righteous servant justify many; and he shall bear their iniquities.

 12.  Therefore will I divide him a portion with the great, and he shall divide the spoil with the strong; because he poured out his soul unto death, and was numbered with the transgressors: yet he bare the sin of many, and made intercession for the transgressors.
