(Let the congregation say, “It’s in the Blood”)

There is no fluid in the world more important or dramatic than blood.

Cultures from the dawning of the ages have treated blood with awe.

Blood had a mysterious power which could be dangerous unless handled properly.  Back in the day, warriors after battle and women after menstruation or childbirth carried a contagion and required ceremonial cleansing.  The Semites (Jews) and our bible identified the blood with life, and for bid the eating of blood.  In this way the mysterious danger was controlled.

My friends, I have seen people run away from the very sight of blood, because they hate and fear it; and on the flip side I saw people for fun and a thrill of it run to see blood spilled or bloodshed.

On the other hand blood is extremely good and purposeful.  Remember, it was a powerful protective agent when Moses told the children of Israel to sprinkle the doorposts with blood and the death angel would past over.

Blood was an effective means of purification from all forms of diseases, physical or moral.  Recently I spoke with Pastor John Moses of India in a radio interview, who told me how witch doctors of India still use the blood of animals to heal their sick and if that don’t work they tie a string around their arm or send them back home when everything fails.  This is where they step in the offer Christ.

Another interesting fact about blood is the qualities of one person could be transferred to another who drank or was sprinkled with his blood.  Reconciliation after a quarrel or a pledge of loyalty was sometimes sealed by the drinking or mingling of blood.  I’ve told many about us kids when growing up mingling our blood to become blood brothers.  We thought this would forever seal us together.

The one thing I should note here is that while one person’s blood can heal; that same blood can kill another person.  Everybody’s blood is not good for you!

Do you know what blood type you are?  Is it A, B, O or some combination?  Is it positive or negative?  You have a right to know!  Your life depends on it!

We’ve talked about our blood; as well as ceremonial blood, but I like to say a little something, something about the “Blood of the Lamb” Mary’s little Lamb, God’s Lamb that was without spot or blemish.  OH THE BLOOD OF JESUS; IT WILL NEVER LOSE ITS POWER.” it washing white as snow.

Jesus Blood cleanses from the gutter most to the utter most.  Have you been to Jesus for the cleansing power are you washed in the Blood of the lamb; are you fully trusting in His grace this hour; are you washed in the Blood of the Lamb?

For I know what can wash away your sin?  Nothing but the Blood of Jesus:  What can make you whole again?  Nothing but the Blood of Jesus;  Oh precious is the flow that makes us white as snow no other fount I know, Nothing but the Blood of Jesus.

My brothers and sisters, There is a fountain filled with Blood;  Drawn from Immanuel vein’s and sinners plunged beneath that flood, lose all their guilty stain, lose all their guilty stain, lose all their guilty stain, and sinners plunged beneath that flood, lose all their guilty stain.

Let me tell you a story:  One day a man got very ill and was told by his spiritual doctor to immediately go the medical foundation to get his blood drawn so both could see exactly what was aligning the man.  The sick man was reluctant to go because he could not fully understand how this would improve his problem.  He needed help now.

The spiritual doctor knew whatever his blood revealed could be treated, but wanted the man to follow his instructions.  He knew if this aligning man did not follow his instruction it would be fatal.

The man’s condition worsened so he quickly went as instructed and had blood drawn to be analyzed by his spiritual doctor.  Upon receiving the vial of blood the doctor knew that the man needed immediate attention and very minute was critical or his patience would die from an infectious blood stream.

Roman 12: 2.  So be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.

You see my friends the moral to our story is the aligning sick man’s blood was avoid of love and void of forgiveness, and lacked grace and mercy; and needed regeneration immediately.  He needed his soul renewed and restored.

Listen, Jesus is our doctor in the sick room waiting to give us a Blood transfusion when ever needed.  You don’t have to worry about your blood type; for His Blood type fits all. It won’t contaminate you, but will liberate you, it won’t kill, but heal you, and it won’t sit you down, but stand you up.  It won’t starve your soul, but make it whole.

John 6: 53.  Then Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except ye eat the flesh of the Son of man, and drink his blood, ye have no life in you. 54.  Whoso eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, hath eternal life; and I will raise him up at the last day. 55.  For my flesh is meat indeed, and my blood is drink indeed. 56.  He that eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, dwelleth in me, and I in him. 57.  As the living Father hath sent me, and I live by the Father: so he that eateth me, even he shall live by me. 58.  This is that bread which came down from heaven: not as your fathers did eat manna, and are dead: he that eateth of this bread shall live forever.

1 Cor11:

 27.  Wherefore whosoever shall eat this bread, and drink this cup of the Lord, unworthily, shall be guilty of the body and blood of the Lord.

 28.  But let a man examine himself, and so let him eat of that bread, and drink of that cup.

 29.  For he that eateth and drinketh unworthily, eateth and drinketh damnation to himself, not discerning the Lord's body.

 30.  For this cause many are weak and sickly among you, and many sleep.
