MINE EYES HAVE SEEN
THE GLORY
Over the years and
especially this year we have witnessed many monumental historical and spiritual
transformations and reformation in our society and it is the Lord’s doing.
We are amidst a social-political revival, which is already revolutionary
to some degree. We have witness the
overturning of injustice policies to just policies.
We are seeing frowns being turning into smiles and a willingness to
participate where non participations once governed most people’s actions.
Yes, my brother and
sisters we are living and witnessing a redeeming spirit within our society.
Let us never forget
that this transformation and reformation was brought about by many hardships, by
hard work and by heart praying.
I do believe this
world reformation we are witnessing is God confirmation that He really is with
the people, which are called by His name, who humble themselves, and pray, and
seek His face, and turn from their wicked ways; then He will hear from heaven,
and will forgive our sin, and heal our land.
2 Chronicles 7:14
That was the promise
recorded in the Old Testament and Jesus recorded this in the New Testament.
For Jesus said, “I will be with you
always; even unto the end.” So dear
saints of God, in the time of trouble if you will “only “call upon His name He
will answer.” Amen.
Mat. 28:20b
You will witness the
“Glory “for yourself that
1.
The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? the Lord is the
strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?
2. When the wicked, even
mine enemies and my foes, came upon me to eat up my flesh, they stumbled and
fell.
3.
Though a host should encamp against me, my heart shall not fear: though
war should rise against me, in this will I be confident.
4. One thing have I desired
of the Lord, that will I seek after; that I may dwell in the house of the Lord
all the days of my life, to behold the beauty of the Lord, and to inquire in his
temple.
5.
For in the time of trouble he shall hide me in his pavilion: in the
secret of his tabernacle shall he hide me; he shall set me up upon a rock.
6. And now shall mine head
be lifted up above mine enemies round about me: therefore will I offer in his
tabernacle sacrifices of joy; I will sing, yea, I will sing praises unto the
Lord. Psalms 27
How many of you know
by now that God is in the rescue business?
God has been delivering His saints since creation and because of this
many songs of victory have been sung throughout the generations.
There is one famous
song from the 19th century that could certainly be use to tell what
we are witnessing today, which exalts the Glory of God.
I don’t know about
you but: MINE EYES HAVE SEEN THE GLORY OF THE COMING OF THE LORD AND HIS TRUTH
IS MARCHING ON; GLORY, GLORY HALLELUJAH!
GLORY, GLORY HALLELUJAH! HIS TRUTH IS MARCHING ON.
Amen.
But while we sing
this song it must be remembered that an uncountable number of “Glories” have
occurred and been witness since this song was written by John Steffe.
Yes, my friends, many people have sung this glorious song. So let us
continue to sing it and others as we move from “Glory to Glory” with our God.
There are two age
old questions to be answered here today.
I would like to
share these questions and conclude with the answers.
WHO IS THE KING OF
GLORY?
Mat. 27:11. And
Jesus stood before the governor: and the governor asked him, saying, Art thou
the King of the Jews? And Jesus said unto him, Thou sayest.
Pontius Pilate the
governor’s wife knew WHO THE KNIG OF GLORY WAS, HEAR HER TODAY; 19.
When he was set down on the judgment seat, his wife sent unto him,
saying, Have thou nothing to do with
that just man: for I have suffered many things this day in a dream because
of him. (Jesus the Just Man turned my
night into day and my darkness into light)
Let me say to you
today, don’t do to Jesus what Pilate did!
Instead of having nothing to do with Jesus like him, please, you commit
to have something to do with Him.
Amen.
Psalms 24
Listen,
8. Who is this King of glory?
The Lord strong and mighty,
the Lord mighty in battle.
9. Lift up your heads, O ye
gates; even lift them up, ye everlasting doors; and the King of glory shall come
in.
10.
Who is this King of glory? The
Lord of hosts, he is the King of glory. Selah.
Remember,
1. The earth is the Lord's, and the
fulness thereof; the world, and they that dwell therein.
2. For he hath founded it
upon the seas, and established it upon the floods.
Conclusion,
3.
Who shall ascend into the hill of the
Lord? or who shall stand in his holy place?
4. He that hath
clean hands, and a
pure heart; who hath not lifted up
his soul unto vanity, nor sworn deceitfully.
5. He shall receive the
blessing from the Lord, and righteousness from the
God of his salvation.
7.
Lift up your heads, O ye gates; and be ye lift up, ye everlasting doors;
and the King of glory shall come in.
Response,
today we
can go beyond a social revival to a “Soul Revival” by making Jesus the King of
your life. You will have the best
of both worlds; so allow Jesus rule in
your heart and Jesus will rule in your actions.
They will know you are a child of the King by your love and will witness
you moving from Glory to Glory with God.
Amen.
The bible says,
Rev.3:20. Jesus stands at the door
of your heart, and knocks: if any person hears Jesus voice, and open the door,
Jesus will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me
Repeat after me if
you want to invite the King of Glory to come into your heart.
Ro. 10: 9.
I confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and I believe in my heart that
God hath raised him from the dead. 11.
For the scripture says, Whosoever believeth on Jesus shall not be ashamed
and whosoever shall call upon Jesus the name of the Lord shall be saved.
I believe it and that settles it.
Now am I a child of the King and will do those things pleasing to God and
turn from things that are not pleasing.
I invite the Holy Spirit to reveal Himself in my life to help make my
walk in Christ a right one. Amen.
