Making It “P” Plain
You and I would like life to be simple and not complex, easy and not hard, sweet and not bitter; we want life smooth and not rough and plain and not difficult. Today I want to make the Gospel of Jesus Christ open to everyone and not closed, visible and not invisible. I want to “Make it Plain”. Somebody ought to say make it plain preacher!
I would like to talk about the significant of the letter “P” in bible terms.
The first “P” is for the word PROBLEM.
The chapter of Genesis 1 begins telling us the POSITION of God. We learn He is in total control and His creation are in their “right position”(whether things in heaven or above the earth, on the earth or under the earth) everything praised God for the things He had done. But a PROBLEM occurred and presented it to every creation of God, but creation could not solve the PROBLEM and was moved off course and out of its “right position with God.
Roman 8:22 For we know that the whole creation groaneth and travaileth in pain together until now. 23. And not only they, but ourselves also, which have the firstfruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan within ourselves, waiting for the adoption, to wit, the redemption of our body.
Ask yourself this question today. What happens to me when I do not solve the problems facing me? Is my life better, the same or worst?
Clearly, when our spiritual problems are not resolved successfully our lives are worsened. We begin to debate truth and contradict landmarks of spiritual laws.
We refer to the Ten Commandments as the ten suggestions; and we ignore the golden rule of Jesus “to love our neighbor as yourself; and to do unto others as we would have them to do unto us”; we prefer not love our neighbor and to do unto them before they does it unto me. Amen. This is the current code of ethic and the current moral compass guiding a large number of people in the world today and it is all because of the PROBLEM encounter in the book of Genesis in the Garden of Eden.
My friend, resolve your spiritual PROBLEMS and every other kind as quick as you can. If you can’t solve them get help from those that can help you solve them the right way. Remember there is a right way the resolve PROBLEMS and a wrong way. Do it the right way. Jesus said, “I am the way, Truth and the Life.” By all means follow him and not man. Amen.
My second “P’ word is PRICE.
There is a PRICE you pay from every PROBLEM. That PRICE could be heavy or light, painful, major or minor and it could be revealed or go unnoticed for a while. Listen, my friends, the PRICE you pay for not solving your PROBLEMS will make its visitation at the most unwanted time.
Adam in the Garden could have resolved the PROBLEM by being obedient to God’s word. The PRICE paid for Adam was to be driven out of the Garden and to be separated spiritual from God. Adam fell from Grace. A heavy PRICE to pay for not taking care of the little details with God.
Folks I started off this year telling you to make sure you take care of the little details, because those small things will become big things.
Ask yourself what kind of PRICE am I paying, because of not dealing and solving those PROBLEMS I faced?
So far we have discussed the “P” word of PROBLEM and PRICE. Let’s look at the final “P”. It is the PROMISES, which are available for us today. God‘s PROMISES ARE NOW.
You have heard if you take one step; He will take two. If you try; He will enable us to succeed. If you cry out; He is faithful to answer you. All of these are faithful sayings and PROMISES that you have heard over the years.
Jesus declare it! John 10: 9. I am the door: by me if any man enter in, he shall be saved, and shall go in and out, and find pasture. 10. The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly. 11. I am the good shepherd: the good shepherd giveth his life for the sheep.
I hope you like “P” words. “P” is a good letter and carries good things even though it can be deadly. For instance it gives us the word poison, but also pleasure. It gives us the word pain, but also offers us peace. Yes my friends it presents to each of us the word PUZZLE. Truly life can be a PUZZLE and the greatest misfortune is for the PUZZLE not to be solved. Prison and mental institutions are filled with men, women and children trying to solve this “P” word PUZZLE.
I am so glad that Jesus Christ helps us to put the PUZZLE pieces of our lives back together again. So we can see the true picture of OURSELVES and what God is molding us to become. We see God was in the mix during our PROBLEM TIMES AND PAINFUL PRICE PAYING TIMES.
Listen, my friends, if you are feeling the weight of sin on your life today I bring good news. The good news is that God has PROVIDED relief for you. A rescue package was sent from heaven directly to our address with you name on it. Receive it! Open it! Own It! Because is design for you. Amen.
The final “P” letter I would like to lift up is for the word PROMISE.
Jesus Christ is the PROMISE TO THE WORLD and the PRIZE each of us must win in life. Even though it was lost it can be won. I would like to encourage you to “press” toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus. Philippians 3: 14.
If you find your life unmanageable and it seems you are spinning out of control; when it’s PRAYING time. It is now that you must invite Jesus Christ into your heart so you can be redeemed. Jesus Christ has taken your PENALTY and has already paid the PRICE for you; therefore you don’t have to suffer the PENALTY nor price. You are not guilty! You can go free in Jesus Name. Amen.
You don’t have to live in the PROBLEM if you will REPOSITION yourself in God and live in the PROMISE. Amen.
